DADDY, IT'S COLD OUTSIDE is Live!!

All Jude Kensworth White wanted for Christmas was to be home with his family. He certainly didn’t need to be stuck in a cabin for a last minute work retreat. He considered not attending, but was assured things would be ok by his current boss and former childhood best friend, Logan.

Logan Clark needed Jude at the retreat. He knew Jude would have to be there for the entire thing to work in the first place. He was trying to get rid of his ghosts from Christmas past, and he knew there was no way to banish a ghost without looking it straight in the face first.

Neither of them were expecting the turn of events that leaves them both confronting their past and weathering the present.

It was beginning to look a lot like a complicated Christmas.
______
Daddy, It's Cold Outside is a full-length, steamy gay holiday romance that has no cliffhangers.

Christmas stories should be low in drama they should be happy and light. Although there is some angst it isn't over the top drama. It was a beautifully written great second chance romance with great character development and the secondary characters gave us even more to this story.

Logan's was brought up in a cruel and abusive way with a grandmother that treated him terribly. His only solace was Jude his best friend and Jude's family. They included Logan in everything they did and went out of their way to accept him.

Logan made a huge mistake and rejected Jude after their high school graduation and they were out of contact for many years. They meet up again when Jude applies and then goes to work for Logan but they spend the first three months avoiding/ignoring each other.

Being trapped in a snow blizzard while attending a company Christmas retreat brings all their old feeling rushing forward. And they have to face what happened in their past. But one thing always shines through is their true feelings for each other. Spending even just this short time together has the sparks flying. They just need to get past what caused they not to speak for years.

My favourite of Max Walker reads is his attention to family. Family is always a big factor in his reads and i loved how incredibly close Jude is to his family. I can't wait to read more books by Max Walker!

Max Walker writes from a cozy apartment (or during breaks at the dreaded day job) for the pure escape of it all. Since the age of 14, he was constantly getting lost in fantasy worlds with trips on the backs of dragons or voyages across the stars. When he isn't writing, you can probably find him cuddling with his calico cat who might actually think she's a dog (with all that constant tail-wagging).
