This is my first read from Author Carrie Aarons and what a good read i got, i'll definitely be checking out more of her works. Elite is the second book in the Privileged Series but CAN be read as a standalone as i did. For a college romance it gave me quite a different read from the usual. At times i did find the Privilege part over the top with every high end product mentioned. But i suppose that was to add to the story of the characters being full of themselves due to the money they come from and have. It was the secrets, lies and bit of angst that kept me turning page after page.
Eloise knows what it like to be at the top of the privileged circle and to be the girl everyone wants to be around. That wasn't always the case though, she's been at both ends of the scale. Which gave her a slight edginess to someone who was born into money, wealth and power.
Eloise decides she wants to get away from the British and European socialite society and takes a year away to study in America. She lands herself at Jade Mountain University in Vermont. All she was looking for was a normal year, but upon her arrival a mysterious invite appears in her dorm room. The normal year she though she would be getting suddenly appears to be changing in a blink of an eye.

Colton is the guy at Jade Mountain, that every girl wants and every guy wants to be. He's the college basketball god, and what he wants he always gets and most of the time its just there on a shiny silver platter waiting for him. But they never know the real him only what they see on the outside. He's trying to balance out what people see and expect of him to what really going on in his life. But secrets have away of dragging us down and a balancing act soon becomes a heavy weight around him.
So when he meets the smart mouthed, beautiful Brit. Colton wants more. He loves that Eloise doesn’t care who he is, what he has or has got. She loves that Colton is different with her than the Colton he is around others, he can just be real with her. They are more alike than anyone could ever realise and perfect for each other, giving each other strength and support.
Secret societies, love and whole lot of drama all rolled into one good book .
